• Eric Johnson ได้เล่าว่าในปี 1954 ผู้คนมักพูดกันว่าในการประกอบกีตาร์ Fender จะมีผู้หญิง 4 คนคอยตรวจสอบ และประกอบปิ้คการ์ดเข้ากับตัวกีตาร์ พวกเธอจะแปะเทปกาวพร้อมกับเซ็นชื่อ และวันที่เอาไว้ จนกระทั้งวันนึง Eric Johnson ต้องการที่จะเปลี่ยนปิ้คอัพกีตาร์ตัวนี้ และได้เปิดปิ้คการ์ดออกมา จึงได้พบว่ามีเทปกาวแปะอยู่จริงๆพร้อมเซ็นชื่อไว้ว่า " Virginia " ลงวันที่ XX June 1954 ตั้งแต่นั้นมา Eric Johnson จึงได้เรียกกีตาร์ตัวนี้ว่า Virginia มาจนถึงปัจจุบัน

The middle and neck pickups are out of phase with the bridge pickup, giving you Johnson’s unique “koto” tone in position two.
