Schecter Traditional Van Nuys

The Schecter Traditional Van Nuys delivers a powerful homage to the brand’s historic roots established in Van Nuys, California. This instrument breathes new life into the classic double-cutaway silhouette, hot-rodding it with premium modern performance features. Commanding attention with its raw, Natural Satin Swamp Ash body paired beautifully with a striking red tortoise pickguard, this guitar is engineered from the ground up to offer immense tonal freedom and effortless playability.

Key Features & Tonal Freedom of the Schecter Traditional Van Nuys

Boutique USA Pickups Configuration: Driven by a versatile HSS pickup array featuring a Schecter USA SuperRock Vintage humbucker in the bridge and dual Schecter USA MonsterTone single-coils in the middle and neck positions. This combination delivers a snappy, punchy vintage bite with plenty of mid-range power that cuts through any musical mix.
Premium Roasted Maple Construction: Outfitted with a rock-solid Bolt-on Roasted Maple neck and fretboard, thermally treated to extract moisture for maximum climate stability and long-lasting resonance. Shaped into a fast Thin "C" profile with a comfortable 14" radius, it provides a slick surface for high-velocity playing.
Advanced Push-Pull Coil-Splitting: The Master Tone control features a push-pull pot that instantly splits the high-output bridge humbucker into a single-coil circuit, expanding your sound portfolio from glassy, low-gain vintage twang to thick, driving rock saturation.

Basic Operation Guide for the Schecter Traditional Van Nuys

Tonal Shaping with the 5-Way Pickup Switch:
- Position 1 (Neck): Engages the neck single-coil, providing a warm, round, and rich vintage voice. Perfect for expressive blues leads and smooth clean chord progressions.
- Position 2 (Neck + Middle): Combines both single-coils to unleash a glassy, bright, and percussive tone. Ideal for clean pop and funk rhythmic work.
- Position 3 (Middle): Focuses entirely on the middle pickup for a balanced, punchy mid-range response suitable for general rhythm tracking.
- Position 4 (Middle + Bridge): Blends the middle pickup with the bridge humbucker, offering a crisp, distinct chime with plenty of body.
- Position 5 (Bridge): Activates the full bridge humbucker for a biting, high-output rock attack. This is the optimal configuration for overdriven rhythm riffs and singing high-gain leads.
Operating the Coil-Splitting Function:
- Pull the Tone knob upward to isolate the bridge humbucker into a single-coil mode. This captures a traditional, snappy single-coil twang. Push the Tone knob back down to restore full humbucking power for maximum thickness and output drive.
Utilizing the Vintage Tremolo System:
- Features a smooth Schecter Diamond Vintage Tremolo bridge. Insert the tremolo arm to achieve expressive vibrato, subtle pitch bends, and smooth modulation effects. The setup is supported by Schecter Locking Tuners to ensure rock-solid tuning stability during bar usage.
