The EC-1000 Piezo has both standard magnetic pickups as well as a completely separate piezo pickup system. You can switch between them with a simple toggle switch. These options allow you to move from accoustic style chords to bright and rich lead sounds. So many rock nad metal acts rely on that kind of flexibiltiy but it usually requires you to swithc betwen guitars mid song. this offers an alternative solution to that problem.
With duel output jacks you can also route your guitar to a wider range of amps and studio inputs. This is the sort of guitar which will quickly become the go to axe in your rig.

Piezo pickups create a very different sound from typical magnetic pickups, offering excellent articulate, acoustic-like tones. With the EC-1000 PIEZO, you can use the mini toggle switch to select between the standard pickup set -- the excellent Seymour Duncan ’59 and JB -- and a Fishman Powerbridge and Tailpiece, or even combine them both. This level of sonic flexibility continues to the guitar's dual output jacks, allowing you to route the pickups to different combinations of amplifiers or interfaces onstage for live performances or in the studio for recording sessions.
