A veritable “Swiss Army” bass, the Classic ‘60s P Bass is a sturdy performer with authentic vintage Fender sound and easy playability as well as classic style. A wonderful instrument inspired by the past, this musical mainstay is overflowing with warm, powerfully rich tones that suit any style of playing—from jazz to blues to rock to pop, this bass can do it all.

The backbone of the flexible P Bass sound is a punchy split single-coil P Bass pickup that enhances the instrument’s voice by precisely placing the polepieces for enhanced harmonic content. This highly dynamic pickup sings, growls and snaps with authentic Fender tone, filling out the low end while retaining clarity and articulation. The easy-to-reach volume and tone controls channel the crisp, yet fat sound to match any playing situation. The 34” scale and slim “C”-shaped neck profile provides plenty of fret-hand comfort, even during long playing sessions while the 7.25”-radius fingerboard hosts 20 vintage-style frets for a familiar playing experience. The vintage-style 4-saddle bridge, synthetic bone nut and Gotoh® die-cast sealed tuners work together for rock-solid tuning stability whether played with a pick, fingers, or slapped, providing accurate intonation along the length of the rosewood fingerboard all the while.

Eye-catchingly stylish, this bass was built for both the stage and studio. This all-around performer bears authentic construction and appointments such as an alder body, maple neck, four-bolt neck plate, knurled flat-top control knobs, chrome hardware and classic large headstock.
